Step 1 (the week of December 8)

• Your child will bring home information regarding
  the registration process.

Step 2 (January 12-15)

• OGMS Counselors and current 6th grade student
  leaders will visit elementary schools to speak
  with 5th grade students about the registration
  process and life at OGMS.
• 6th grade students will talk about their own
  experiences at OGMS and answer questions from 5th
  grade students.

• Counselors will discuss the specific registration
  process and timeline.
• They will hand out the following pieces of
  information
• Registration Form (link)
• Registration Timeline
• Camp Husky Form (our August orientation program
  for incoming 6th grade students)
• List of Student Activities at OGMS
• Sports Physical Form (for potential OGMS
  athletes)

Step 2 (January 12-15) Contd

• Registration forms
• Incoming 6th graders and parents/guardians need
  to indicate which music elective the student will
  take in 6th grade.
• Selection of an elective class is a request. We
  will do our best to match students with their
  request but because of scheduling and class
  sizes, we cannot guarantee the class.
• Please also note that because staffing is based
  on the selection, all choices are final.

Step 3 (January 13)

• OGMS will host 5th Grade Parent Information
  Night. There, parents/guardians will meet school
  administrators and counselors.
• These personnel will share information about
  OGMS.
• Parents/guardians will have a chance to ask
  individual questions.

Step 4 (Late January)

• The registration form should be returned to the
  students 5th grade teacher. Dates will vary by
  school, so contact your childs elementary school
  regarding the deadline.
