Introduction Analysis goals
  • f ? KK- line shape analysis Large number of
    centrality bins.
  • f meson yield analysis (mT spectra, dN/dy and T)
    over at least 10 centrality bins and larger
    number of mT bins than Run2.
  • Centrality dependence of the f yield.
  • Needed to study transition of f meson
    yield in
  • p-p ? d-Au ? Au-Au systems.
  • Rcp, RAA of f mesons
  • 5. f/p and f/K ratios over 10 centrality bins
    and different pT bins.
  • 6. Elliptic flow analysis of the f mesons.

v2 of f
We shall compute v2 of f mesons by measuring
azimuthal asymmetries with respect to the
reaction plane.
For example Run2 Au-Au collisions _at_ ?sNN 200
GeV
  • Run2 analysis showed large
  • statistical errors.
  • Expect to get 30 times more f
  • than Run2.
  • Reduction of statistical error
  • by a factor of 5 6.

Note The CabanaBoy system still has problems
with handling the needed number of event
classes (Z vertex, Centrality, Reaction Plane).
The extraction of v2 depends upon having the
adding reaction plane dimension.

Tasks done
  • Code is ready to go for analysis train
  • Simulation (Event ? PISA ? (n)DST) is completed.
  • Initial data scan for f meson reconstruction is
    completed (shown to PWG).
  • Hadron PID calibration with EMCAL is finished.

Tasks to be done
  • Run-by-run QA
  • Embedding
  • Simulation studies to calculate f mass
    resolution.
  • Data MC tuning ? Fiducial studies for data and
    MC.
  • Systematic errors.
  • v2 analysis (following the techniques discussed
    during Run2 analysis).

Other issues
  • Need help with getting a good run list on the
    basis of subsystem QA.
  • The first version of the analysis note is
    anticipated in early June.
  • Will request for preliminary after that.
