Business case

• The key drive behind this project is to better
  streamline the transportation of oil products in
  south China.
• Sinopec has been supplying oil products output
  from the Maoming and Dongxing refineries by
  vessels and trucks to the Pearl River Delta
  region. Bad weather and busy coastal traffic,
  especially in a time of continuous storms , often
  interrupt the transportation process.
• With the new pipeline, oil products can be
  delivered more efficiently, both in terms of time
  and cost, to the energy-starved Pearl River Delta
  region.

Project scope

• 1,315-kilometer (817-mile) refined products
  pipeline
• Starts from Sinopec's 100,000 b/d Dongxing
  Refinery in Guangdong's western coastal Zhanjiang
  city, runs eastweard to Sinopec's Maoming
  Refinery in Maoming city
• Moves diesel and high octane gasoline (96, 98) to
  Yangjiang, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Foshan, Zhongshan,
  Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Dongguan cities, and ends in
  Shenzhen city.
