  explanations

  as well as national or post-national assumptions

Expectations

• At the individual level I expect (? puzzles in
  the literature)
• utilitarian (economic) considerations to be
  related differently to input (negative) and
  output (positive) dimensions of EU support
• political identities to be as important as
  social identities, especially for input
  dimensions of EU support
• utilitarian and identity considerations to be
  related according to some causal mechanisms
  depending on knowledge (interest in politics) of
  people, on all dimensions of EU support
