HISTORICAL OVERVIEW
The robot development started at the VUKOV
factory in the 1980s at that stage, a state
owned RD and production company. Due to the
demand for reducers for their internal use in the
development of robots the engineers there started
the development of their own reducer.

5.1 ICT for Factories of Future- our
reccomendations and proposals
  • We are interested in participation in WG2
    Industrial Needs (ICT for FoF) with
    representative CEIT and WP3 High quality
    performance user friendly manufacturing, with
    representatives SAATAR.
  • In this frame to enlarge the working group (AIAG
    members) by CEIT and SAATAR.

recommendations and proposals
  • At the same time we recommend in part Basic
    content and structure of the multi-annual
    roadmap 2011-2013 in SP3 High quality and high
    performance manufacturing to amend into text of

Recommendations for the SRA for Robotics in
Europe and SRA for MANUFUTURE-EU
  • 1. To amend the development strategy of robotics
    and automation production systems until 2020 and
    Manufuture by
  • a special position of the development and
    production basis of components for robotics
    (gears, drive, compact, intelligent compact drive
    and positioning units)
  • specifying development trends for components in
    new areas of robotics services, security,
    entertainment robotics, mobile and manipulation
    platforms for visual and monitoring systems
  • 2. To establish a professional team alongside
    MANUFUTURE and EUROP, to deal with specifying of
    the thematic aims and strategic development of
    drive, sensor and control systems
  • 3. We propose the continual dialog on he workshop
    basis between NRTP and ETPs (MANUFUTURE and
    EUROP) for effective information about new
    programmes and projects with feedback with
    producers, system integrators, research
    institutes and universities.
