2HISTORICAL OVERVIEW
The robot development started at the VUKOV
factory in the 1980s at that stage, a state
owned RD and production company. Due to the
demand for reducers for their internal use in the
development of robots the engineers there started
the development of their own reducer.

representatives SAATAR. - In this frame to enlarge the working group (AIAG
members) by CEIT and SAATAR.

- At the same time we recommend in part Basic
content and structure of the multi-annual
roadmap 2011-2013 in SP3 High quality and high
performance manufacturing to amend into text of
frame structure the item Components new text as
follows - Technologies (components, machines and
processes, that overcome the current frontiers in
terms of accuracy, - Technologies (components, machines and
processes) with special mechanical and control
characteristics and configurations in order to
provide drastic improvements in process dynamics,
increasing the productivity in the same level, - Technologies (components, machines and
processes) for production systems
dematerialisation - The reason is a fact that area for RD and
enlarging of the production basis for critical
components for building new machines, robots and
automation equipment (main components of driving,
sensors and control systems) are key solution for
increasing the accuracy, productivity and
systems dematerialisation.

real-time monitoring of cutting processes at
changing of dynamics, kinematics, drive, tool,
measuring and control-diagnostic functions and
states - Application of self-learning, self-configuration
and self-optimisation methods/procedures reacting
in time to fluctuations during the process to
change of process parameters and react flexibly
to different product in whole or in part.

adaptive machining centres for precise bearing
and bearing components, precise tools and forms

cumulation of turning, milling, drilling,
threading and hobbing of outside teeth. -
22Recommendations for the SRA for Robotics in
Europe and SRA for MANUFUTURE-EU
- 1. To amend the development strategy of robotics
and automation production systems until 2020 and
Manufuture by - a special position of the development and
production basis of components for robotics
(gears, drive, compact, intelligent compact drive
and positioning units) - specifying development trends for components in
new areas of robotics services, security,
entertainment robotics, mobile and manipulation
platforms for visual and monitoring systems - 2. To establish a professional team alongside
MANUFUTURE and EUROP, to deal with specifying of
the thematic aims and strategic development of
drive, sensor and control systems - 3. We propose the continual dialog on he workshop
basis between NRTP and ETPs (MANUFUTURE and
EUROP) for effective information about new
programmes and projects with feedback with
producers, system integrators, research
institutes and universities.
