Harriet Tubman was a special woman. Of this I was
told She was a special conductor. Of the famous
Underground Railroad. She led many people to
freedom. They traveled during the night. The had
to be very careful. The had to stay out of
sight. They traveled from house to house. They
stayed with strangers along the way. They got
closer and closer to freedom As they traveled
north each day. Many people risked their
lives So the underground railroad could be. Thank
you Harriet Tubman. Because of you, the slaves
could be free!
