8P.E.A.Ts Asset Knowledge, Productivity and
Efficiency
Facilities Management
- Presently, status updates for project tasks and
routine - maintenance procedures are not real-time. More
frequent - updates promoted by ergonomic system design will
lead to greater - visibility of work and more accurate updates to
customers. This - will also help identify spare man-hour capacity
should it exist. - Making daily management of fault handling and
execution of - maintenance routines accessible in real-time
Technicians will be - encouraged to follow the process more closely.
- Access to the PEMAC system will be easier
delivering real time - results to the required activities. Easier
return of reports will lead - to greater process compliance and better customer
experience in - fault responses.

Facilities Management
- Achieving process compliance is critical to
ensuring that an - auditable record of all maintenance routines that
demonstrate - statutory and HS compliance is available with
accurate and - up to date information

access job - information in a concise, easily readable and
more intuitive - way.

Facilities - Technician's "work to do report file improving
work stream - flow and identifying in-house capabilities
improving - productivity levels.

Next Steps
The next generation we propose to move to will
be provide Pemac on Blackberry or Pocket PC.
Used in conjunction with a barcode
reader. Bluetooth technology will push barcode
information into the handheld device
All Facilities Technical and Management staff
will be issued with a Handheld. Contractors will
have to provide their staff with them also.
This will enable real time completion and will
also mean staff do not have to return to base or
other convenient locations in order to complete
jobs
Staff will also have real time instant update of
new jobs. Work in an area or specific location
can be checked easily when staff are at remote
sites.
