26Louisiana Timeline
- With the creation of the Department of Homeland
Security it was recommended that all States
consolidate the SAA with the Homeland Security
Advisor where applicable. - In February 2003, Colonel Landry and MG
Landreneau recommended to Governor Foster that LA
Office of Homeland Security Emergency
Preparedness be designated the SAA and that LSP
continue to manage all equipment funds for the
State.

contiguous with the City of New Orleans, to

Security Region 1 in the State of Louisiana.

46LETPP Program Overview
- The FY 2004 LETPP seeks to provide law
enforcement communities with enhanced
capabilities for detecting, deterring,
disrupting, and preventing acts of terrorism. The
FY 2004 LETPP will provide law enforcement
communities with funds for the following - activities
- Information sharing to preempt terrorist
attacks - Target hardening to reduce vulnerability of
selected high value targets - Threat recognition to recognize the potential
or development of a threat - Intervention activities to interdict terrorists
before - they can execute a threat
