WATER CYCLE
  • The water cycle is a circle of events.First it
    evaporates,then it condensates,then it
precipitates then it collects.Evaporation is when
the water rises and it evaporates.Condensate
means when it forms a cloud.Precipitate means
when it rains or snows.Collection is when it
collects in a lake or ocean.

3
Cloud types
  • The four cloud types are cirrus, stratus, cumulus
and nimbus. Cirrus are made of ice crystals and
it usually means fair weather. Stratus clouds
means it will be foggy it might rain. Cumulus
clouds mean fair weather and it can be storm
clouds. Nimbus rains and the color is gray.

4
forcasing weather
  • One instrument used for forecasting weather is a
barometer which shows the amount of air pressure
in the area,an anemometer shows wind
speed, thermometers show the temperature, a wind
sock shows which direction the wind is going, and
a rain gauge shows the amount of precipitation.

5
Recording info
  • Pop means possibility of precipitation.
  • Humidity means the amount of moisture in the air.
  • Temperature means how hot or cold it is.

6

Fact page
  • Without the sun there wouldnt be weather.
  • Hurricanes only happen near the ocean.
  • A hurricane can destroy a whole city.
  • We have seasons because the earth is on a tilt.

EXPEREMENTS
Evaporation experiment
The bottle experiment
Forecasting cities
9
EVAPORATION EXPERIMENT
We had four containers and filled them with the
same amount of water and we waited to see which
one evaporated the fastest.
10
THE BOTTLE EXPERIMENT
We put a bit of water in a bottle lit a match and
blew it out. Then we put the match in the bottle
and it created smoke. Then we squeezed the bottle
and it created pressure. Then we let go and a
cloud formed.

FORECASTING CITIES
  • Each student was given a city to find the
weather.Every day we would go on the computer and
look at the weather of the city that we got.

THE END
We learned about the weather for two months. And
we were given an assignment to make a power
point presentation. So we put all the information
we knew on it.We learned a lot in those two
months.I hope you learned a lot from this too.
Where we got our information.
