  • Making change is at the heart of this method.
  • An approach that follows the belief that
    research, to be ethical, must improve peoples
    lives or improving the quality of action within
    the social situation.
  • Techniques collection of documents, keeping a
    detailed diary, observation, questionnaire
    surveys, interviews, shadowing, tape/video
    recording, photographs, triangulation.

  • Pick a partner to work with ( 2 - 3 per group)
  • Develop 5 interview questions together for your
    study
  • Choose an interview method
  • Try the questions out with your partner
  • Switch roles
  • Choose another interviewing method
  • Try out the questions again or revised questions
  • Report back to class what you did and how it went
  • Think about how you felt answering the questions
    yourself
