7TESTING of TRD CHAMBERS
1. TESTING of PCB PLANES - PADs quality (
contact, short circuits, cross-talks, noise )
- hermeticity (PCB with sandwich and connectors)
- in box
2. TESTING DURING PRODUCTION - HV test
of Cathode Planes and PCB (with sandwich) -
HV test of Anode planes
3. TESTING of THE CHAMBER BEFORE
CLOSING - HV test with grounded PCB
(leakage current) - Counting plateau (Fe-55,
Ru-106, X-ray tube), noises - Gain uniformity
on chamber area ( with mask) - Gain
stability (24 hours)
4. TESTING AFTER CLOSING of THE CHAMBER
- the same as for item 3 - Gas leakage,
measurement of humidity - Plateau of
efficiency (Ru-106, X-ray tube , cosmic) -
Signals from each PAD ( FULL TEST)
5. PASSPORTIZATION of THE CHAMBER PARAMETERS

10ORGANIZING QUESTIONS
- AGREEMENT should be signed between JINR
- HD - GSI (in April ) (to overcome the
customs problem) - 1 or 2 times per
month Technical Coordinator or Spokesperson
should inform the Collaboration (by
E-mail) about Status of TRD project (as
was sucsessfully used at STAR experiment)
- Realistic time schedule for the Project
shoud be worked out
