Romulus and Remus

• Romulus and Remus were two babies. They were born
  753 years before Jesus was born.
• They were taken and left by a river to starve but
  they were found by a wolf, who looked after them
  until they were older.
• Then they were told by mars, a God, that they
  should build a city.

What happened then.

• They built the city, then they had a battle over
  it.
• Romulus won he named the capital city of Italy
  Rome after him.
• This story is a legend, but the Roman people
  still believe this is how Rome began.

Roman families

• In the Roman times the daddy was the most
  important member of the family.
• Whenever a baby was born, it was put at its
  daddys feet. If he left it, it would be taken
  and be killed and if the daddy picked it up it
  would stay alive.
• People didnt think the mummys and children were
  important.
