  • He did paintings, drawings, and sculptures.
  • He was part of the cubism movement.
  • He went to school at San Fernando School of Fine
    Arts in Madrid.
  • - Some of his famous works include The
    Persistence of Memory, Ballerina in a Deaths
    Head, and The Temptation of St. Anthony.

  • Born May 11, 1904 in Spain.
  • In 1917 he had his first charcoal exhibition in
    his house.
  • - 1921-1925 Went to Academy of Arts in Madrid.
  • 1925 First alone exhibition at the Gallery of
    Dalmau.
  • 1926-1928 Began to explore surrealism.
  • 1928 First painting shown in the U.S.
  • - 1934 Marries Gala Éluard
  • -1950-65 He wrote several books (The secret life
