The potential to be chosen if worthy
Avraham Avinu - follows his father's lead and
continues to Eretz Canaan faithfully follows
God's command throughout becomes the progenitor
of God's special nation. Nachor - stays behind
(2410, see Radak). Lot (Haran's son) - had the
opportunity to remain with Avraham, but detaches
himself by choosing the 'good life' in Kikar
Ha'yarden Rivka (Nachors granddaughter), and
Rachel Leah (Nachors great-granddaughters),
