What is SAT?

• Designed by College Board to assess many of the
  skills that are important to students success in
  college
• The tests cover Critical Reading (Verbal), Math,
  and Writing (first time administered in March
  2005)

  are slipping behind state scores
• There was a small increase in the number of
  students taking the ACT for 2008
