  broadcaster who propelled mathematics and codes
  into the international spotlight. He is the
  author of Fermat's Last Theorem and The Code
  Book.
• This lecture is the story of the Cipher
  Challenge, a 10-stage codebreaking competition in
  The Code Book with a prize of 10,000, which was
  recently claimed. The talk will also be an
  introduction to cryptography and a history of the
  subject.
