  • Clicker Update
  • The LSA Deans group approved Qwizdom clickers
for college-wide support. The Dean encouraged
faculty to use clickers to creatively engage
students in the classroom. LSA will pay for the
site license over 5 years. Students can purchase
Qwizdom clickers at the Computer Showcase for
    35. Students can sell them back to the Computer
Showcase which will produce an inventory of used
clickers. Students, in time, will be able to
purchase clickers at a reduced price. Faculty
will still be able to choose alternative clicker
systems to Qwizdom, but they will have to be
purchased and supported within the department.
The Deans office will have to approve any
additional funding for clicker systems not using
Qwizdom. Other Schools and Colleges (e.g.
Engineering) will likely join the LSA site
license for Qwizdom. ISS will provide workshops
on how to best use the clickers in the classroom.
Faculty can apply for faculty project grants to
explore ideas for using clickers in their
    lectures.
