Mappa offenders
  • Category 1 Registered Sexual Offenders
  • Category 2 Violent and other sexual offenders
    sentenced to 12months imprisonment or subject to
    hospital orders
  • Category 3 Other offenders whos past
    convictions and current behaviour cause concern

  • have lawful authority

Serious Harm
  • A risk which is life threatening and/or
    traumatic and from which recovery, whether
    physical or psychological , can be expected to be
    difficult or impossible

Risk of serious harm
  • Low - no significant current indicators of
    serious harm
  • Medium - potential for harm but unlikely unless
    there is a change in circumstances
  • High - identifiable indicators of risk of harm,
    the potential event could happen at any time and
    the impact would be serious
  • Very High - imminent risk of serious harm with
    serious impact
