CORRIDOR X ROAD CONSTRUCTION

• 2360 km long, connecting Salzburg, Ljubljana,
  Zagreb, Beograd, Nis, Skopje and Thessaloniki
• 835 km goes through Serbia
• Branches - B Budapest-Novi Sad-Beograd, C
  Nis-Sofia
• 57 of the roads build - another 2 billion Euro
  needed for completion
• A total of 4 billion earmarked for further road
  and railway network development (World Bank,
  EBRD, national budget)

• Substantial investment needed to increase average

• Old infrastructure and one track lines
• 4. 6 billion Euro needed for modernization and
  completion of corridor X railway (220 million
  allocated this year)
• For railway development on corridor X an
  agreement with Deustche Bahn has been signed

ENERGY SECTOR (I)

• Serbia and Russia signed the energy agreement
  covering construction of the South stream gas
  pipeline with a total capacity of more the 10
  billion m3/year
• The deal includes a high capacity underground gas
  storage in Northern Serbia where 1st stage has
  already been completed - its expected to reach
  full utilization in 2010
• After privatization of Oil Industry of Serbia by
  Gasprom modernization of two refineries is
  underway. They are to meet EU standards by 2012

ENERGY SECTOR (II)

• Tender for selection of strategic partner for
  construction of
• Coal fired thermal power plant Kolubara B with 2
  x 350 MW
• Coal fired thermal plant Nikola Tesla b3 with
  total installed power of 750 MW
• Significant opportunities in the bio-energy,
  especially in small hydro plants and bio mass -
  legislation is currently in procedure

OTHER PROJECTS

• Belgrade metro (under debate)
• South Adriatic highway (financing models still
  being explored)
• Danube revitalization (300 million Euro needed)
• Vatin-Belgrade highway (connecting corridors XIV)
