  • (Pre) Games Out-of-Competition Testing
  • 385 tests conducted pre-Olympic Games by
    WADA/IOC/ATHOC task force
  • 87 tests conducted by WADA in 18 sports on
    athletes from 27 nations. Testing took place in
    16 countries around the world
  • 2414 urine and 327 blood tests conducted post
    competition in Olympic Games
  • Coordination with IFs/NOCs/NPCs/NADOs/etc
    regarding athlete test histories and whereabouts
    ensured effective use of tests
  • 40 blood and urine tests conducted by WADA
    pre-Paralympic Games in 6 sports on athletes from
    15 nations. Testing took place in 8 countries,
  • The IPC and ATHOC conducted 680 urine tests
    pre-competition and in-competition in Paralympic
    Games

DCO REPORTS
  • Potential missed tests and other anti-doping rule
    violations mean DCO reports have to be very
    detailed

  • What was said, etc
  • DCOs must be encouraged to document everything if
    missed tests and refusals are to result in
    athlete sanction.

  • Forms are already being used by several IFs and
    NADOs
  • Different languages (already in Czech and
    Turkish) Co-ordination please
  • WADA can co-ordinate insertion of ADO logo and
    printing and generic forms also available (no
    logo) cheaper
