Wooded Area

• Similar to San Felasco
• Large oak trees
• Density is above you
• 20-30 trees
• Secondary scales of ferns, vines,
• and fungus growing on the trees
• and ground
• Ground level consists of roots,
• dead leaves, fungus, and scattered
• shrubs

The Prairie

• Density moves to underneath and around you
• Open to the wind and sun
• Wind creates patterns of movement in the grasses
• Scale of the plants smaller, thin blades rather
  than long leaves
• Shrubs prevalent, as well as flowering plants
• Tall and short Grasses
• 4-6 height

Transition/Threshold

• Gradual transition from woods to prairie as you
  step down
• Canopy dissolves, shadows intermittent

Experience

• Space expands laterally in the woods, permeable
  and semi-permeable edges on either side of you
• When entering the prairie, space explodes
  vertically and your path becomes more focused and
  directed by the walls of bushes
