  • PUPILS
  • In an average class, 5 pupils need to be
selected. (not all will be moderated).
  • The class teacher selects the pupils. However we
would welcome a profile of pupils that will
encourage professional dialogue, e.g boarder line
    decisions, P Levels and Level3.
  • Please complete the proforma in your brown
envelope before the visit to assist us in
    choosing pupils.
  • If there are any queries then dont hesitate to
    contact us.

THE VISIT!
  • Each Year 2 teacher provides samples/evidence of
work. Moderators will choose 3 pupils. (This may
alter due to nature of cohort, but would be
discussed at the meeting with individual
    schools.)
  • Opportunity to have a professional discussion
    about the pupils and assessment/moderation.
  • At the end of the visit, there will be verbal and
written feedback to both the Year 2 teacher(s)
and the headteacher. This will be passed on to
    the SIP.

moderators may request to read and discuss
    learning with the pupils.

moderation process during the visit. (This has
been updated from last year based on feedback)
  • The feed back from all schools will be given to
the Head Teachers at the Assessment Up-date and
the Assessment Co-ordinators at their autumn
