  • Credit Recovery (More opportunities to achieve
    credit, and providing more opportunities for
    students to learn about ways to accumulate more
    credits or college credits)
  • Allow for previously unsuccessful student
    attempts at credit, to make up 1.0 credit of
    Algebra I and 1.0 credit of Geometry I in one
    semester
  • Reduce the occurrences of tardiness and truancy
    by eliminating the total number of student
    passing periods
  • Allow for the tracking of monthly benchmarks to
    determine our success at implementing the A/B
    Block Schedule
  • Allow for additional assistance as well as
    enrichment learning

  • Establish 90 minute teaching and learning blocks
  • Continues to allow for students to accumulate 28
    credits over 4 years of high school
  • Allows for teachers to use multiple instructional
    strategies and differentiate instruction during
    the 90 minute learning block
  • Reduce the amount of passing time by nearly one
    hour each week.
  • Help reduce overall truancy and tardiness
    (Currently 40 of disciplinary infractions).
