  • Background
  • Two of the worlds major religions Hinduism and
    Buddhism were found in India. Hinduism emerged
    from the belief system of the Aryan people who
    settled in India after 1500 BC. Buddhisms
    founder, Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha
    or Enlightened One, lived in northern India in
    the sixth century BC. Although some similarities
    between the two exist, each belief system has its
    own unique concepts and approach. By creating and
    sharing posters for each religion you will learn
    more about them.

  • Use the information in your textbook and any
    other sources you can find to create separate
    posters for Hinduism and Buddhism.
  • One half of the group should be assigned to each
    religion. Posters should describe all aspects of
    the religion and include illiustrations
