Philosophical Introduction
Scientific basis of the sweet hearts transaction

Bhagavad-gita Cure Thyself
Many years ago, a German scholar expressed his
opinion that the Bhagavad-gita is the highest
spiritual literature because it clearly advises
us NOT to try to correct the environment. The key
to the advice of the Bhagavad-gita is Cure
Thyself. The cause of our disease is not
outside us, but within us. A saint of highest
platform sees that everything is alright. He
finds nothing to complain about. When one sees
that everything is good and sweet to the furthest
extreme, he comes to live in the plane of
divinity. Excerpt from Search for Sri Krishna,
Reality The Beautiful By His Divine Grace Srila
B. R. Sridhar

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in this
world in 1486, in Mayapur, West Bengal, India.
Srila Rupa Goswami has glorified Lord Chaitanya
as being the most munificent Lord, because He
freely distributed life's most precious gift
pure love of Godhead. Although He is the Supreme
Lord, Krishna, He posed as a devotee, and
revealed the most sublime sentiments and the
natural disposition of a devotee. He taught us by
His own example how to establish a connection
with the Lord through the practice of pure
devotion.
7
The Glories of the Mahamantra
As the Lord and His Name are one and the
same, the Name is Krishna Himself eternally
pure, beyond the mundane Padma-Purana
8
Mahamantra Hare Krishna
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare
Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu spread the yuga-dharma,
or the practice most recommended for the
attainment of pure love for Sri Sri
Radha-Krishna. That process is Harinam Sankirtan,
or the congregational chanting of the Holy Names
of the Lord.
9
Glorious Attempt
Making a gift of ten million cows on a solar
eclipse, residing for a millennium at holy places
like Prayag, etc., where the sacred Ganges flows,
performing ten thousand sacrifices and giving
away a mountain of gold. None of these can ever
equal a hundredth fraction of the slightest
attempt to sing the unending Glories of the
Supreme Lord Govindas Name. Skanda-Purana Extra
ct from The Holy Name and Offences to be
Avoided.

Guru Parampara
The divine succession of revealed truth
11
Divine succession of the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya
Sampradaya.
Guru Parampara
The disciplic succession also known as a
Sampradaya or Guru Parampara is a succession of
Spiritual Masters through which a particular
conception of spiritual knowledge is transmitted
from Guru to disciple. The Revealed Truth comes
down to us through this succession of instructing
Spiritual Masters. The Krishna conscious
disciplic succession is the link which connects
us to the Supreme Lord Krishna, who likes to
distribute Himself through His agent, or the
Spiritual Master. Sri Guru and His Grace.
12
Srila Jagannath Das Babaji Maharaj
In his very old age, although physically unable
to walk, Srila Jagannath Das Babaji danced in
divine inspiration upon discovering the holy
birthplace of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It
is said that he lived for 125 years, and was
known and revered by all the devotees of both
Vrindavan and Nabadwip.
13
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur
Srila Sachchidananda Bhaktivinoda Thakur, the
nineteenth century pioneer of Krishna
consciousness, was born in 1838 in Bengal and
advocated exclusive surrender saranagati to the
service of the Supreme Lord's pure devotees as
the life of devotion. He worked tirelessly to
preserve the spiritual tradition and literature
of India he composed, edited, and published more
than 100 books in Sanskrit, Bengali, and English,
which are now revered by the genuine devotees as
Scripture.
14
Srila Gaura Kisora Das Babaji
Srila Gaura Kisora Das Babaji Maharaj was the
embodiment of worldly detachment and devotional
attachment. Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Maharaj
has written about him I bow to our guru, Srila
Gaura Kisora Das, the pure devotee beyond social
class the bee in the lotus of the feet of Sri
Gauranga, who deep in his heart serves Sri Radha
forever.
15
Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Prabhupad
Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Prabhupad is
responsible for the largest spread of Krishna
consciousness since the time of Mahaprabhu,
opening 64 branches of Sri Gaudiya Math across
the Indian subcontinent and planting the seeds
that promoted the further spread of Krishna
consciousness world-wide. He preached that the
Gaudiya Math stood for the dignity of the entire
human race, by teaching wholesale surrender to
the Absolute Good. His most preeminent disciple,
Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Maharaj has said that
if something could capture the mood of his guru
it was that He had declared totalitarian war
against Maya (illusion) and other religious
conceptions.

Gurudeva
Gurudeva, give to this servant just one drop of
mercy. I am lower than a blade of grass. Give me
all help. Give me strength. Let me be as you are,
without desires or aspirations. By Srila

One Target of Life
It is necessary to see what should be the one
target in our lives, and that is service to Guru
and Vaisnava. This is the main thing of value in
our lives. To get a position or to get a chair is
very easy. Anyone, any- where, can make a chair
for himself. But to receive mercy from Guru and
Vaisnava is very difficult, although that is the
wealth of our lives, and that is what we need for
our practicing life. Srila Bhakti Sundar
Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj

A Very Special Service
76
namo brahmanya-devaya go-brahmana-hitaya
cha jagad-dhitaya krsnaya govindaya namo namah
When Krishna comes to establish real perfection
in the social order, He personally gives
protection to the cows and the brahmanas
(go-brahmana-hitaya cha). This is His first
interest because without protection of the
brahmanas and the cows, there can be no human
civilization and no question of happy, peaceful
life Purport by Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta
Swami Prabhupada
77
Protection to the cows in deed and speech.
78
Srimad-Bhagavatam 10.8.16 purport about Krishna
...His first business is to give all comfort to
the cows and the brahmanas. In fact, comfort for
the brahmanas is secondary, and comfort for the
cows is His first concern
79
Affection for cows is necessary Srila Bhakti
Sundar Govinda Maharaj
80
The brahmanas, the cows, Vedic knowledge,
austerity, truthfulness, control of the mind and
senses, faith, mercy, tolerance and sacrifice are
the different parts of the body of Lord Vishnu,
and they are the paraphernalia for a Godly
civilization Srimad Bhagavatam 10.4.4

87
Unfortunately our Photo-tour is coming to its
end. As a final inspiration, if you can retain
one word from all that you have just seen, this
word should be
Saranagati - Surrender
88
Saranagati, Surrender, It is a word to remember
If you can memorize one sloka and put that in
your heart then from this one sloka you will get
everything given in any Scripture
Being governed by the faith that all success is
achieved by serving the supreme Lord, to abandon
servitude to even Scriptural injunctions and take
exclusive refuge in the lotus feet of Krishna in
every time, place and circumstance, is known as
saranagati - unconditional surrender. Srila
Govinda Maharaj in Golden Reflections pg.61
