What is the Pensionado Act?
  • The Pensionado Act was issued by General Howard
    Taft letting young and promising Filipino
    students to study in America.
  • The Pensionado program was funded by the United
    States government.

    of rich influential families during the American
    regime in the Philippines, which had connections
    with the colonial government.

    working background.

    arrived, composing of 200 students, selected from
    20,000 applicants
