Voicemail External Access
  • Dial 336-841-4610
  • (You may also dial your DID)
  • When Unity answers or you hear your greeting,
  • Press
  • Enter your ID (Extension Number) followed by the
    key
  • Enter your Password (Pin Number) followed by the
    key

Announced MeetMe
  • Callers are prompted to say their name before
    entering conference
  • MeetMe initiator must acknowledge caller into
    conference.

Message Waiting Light
  • Multi Line Phone Operation
  • On Multi Line Phone sets the Message Waiting
    Light indicates when new messages are waiting on
    line one,
  • the primary line of the device.
  • Shared lines other than the primary line will
    indicate message waiting status with a flashing
    envelope icon
  • next to the line button.

Analog Devices
  • FAX and Modem Lines will also be converted to the
    new system, however there will be no change to
    how they function.

Moving? Hardware Problems?
  • Please notify the Help Desk if you need to move
    your phone.
  • The system administrator will need to update
    Caller ID and 911 location information.
  • Report phone problems to the support desk.
  • Do not take phones from other desks.
  • Phone hardware problems that require issuing a
    replacement device must be tracked through System
    Administration.
  • Each phone has a unique hardware ID used by the
    system. This ID is tied to your specific user
    profile which includes your extension number,
    voicemail account, and programmed user features.
  • IP Phones do not use standard phone outlets.
    Connecting an IP phone to a PBX telephone jack
    could cause damage.

A Couple of things to remember.
  • Hold Time calls will remain on hold
    indefinitely.
  • Parked Calls - revert back to ringing after two
    minutes on the extension that parked the call.
    If unanswered will go to voicemail.
  • Dial 8 External calls require dialing a 8
    before the destination number.
  • To Transfer a call directly to voicemail
  • Press Transfer extension Transfer

Shortcut Features
  • When listening to a users voicemail greeting, you
    can skip the remaining message by hitting the
    key, then immediately leave a message.
  • Immediate Divert Softkey appears when phone
    rings, Sends caller to directly voicemail
  • Abbreviated Dial Enter up to 99 speed dials
    with CCMuser web page. With handset in cradle,
    press speed dial number, Abbreviated dial key
    pops up. Press to be connected.

Before Cutover
  • Your IP Phone is Live! Use it Today.
  • Use Cisco IP Phones to call other IP phones and
    make outbound calls.
  • Use existing Nortel phone to call users who have
    not yet received their new phone and to receive
    incoming calls.
  • Unity Voicemail will be active for IP Phone
    calls.
  • Existing Voicemail Systems will remain active for
    outside calls.
  • Purge old voicemail messages. After cutover you
    will no longer have access to the old Voicemail
    System.

After Cutover
  • Use Cisco IP Phone with Unity Voicemail for all
    calls
  • Your existing phone will be removed
