Set up of 7xx Initial Beta-Test

• To concur with progress of HKCAN Project, Host
  Institution submitted files to III on 20th August
  2001, for setting up 7xx Beta-Test
• NAME -- authority records for loading into Name
  file (total 97 records)
• SUBJECT -- authority records for loading into
  Subject file (total 63 records)
• BIBLIOGRAPHIC -- records (total 4,560 records)

Beta-Test Evaluation

• 25th Sept., 2001 -- initial Beta-Test available
  for members' evaluation under
• WWW http//atlas.iii.com5705/search -
• 12th Oct., 2001 -- evaluation report was
  submitted to fine tune various indexing display
  problems.

Next Stage - Beta-Test Direct Installation

• After specifications are met, HKCAN will proceed
  with the 2nd stage 7xx Beta-Test.
• CUHK LU volunteer to be 1st group to install
  7xx Beta-Test directly onto servers.
• (Target Timeframe Jan./Feb., 2002)
• Remaining libraries may choose to install
  according to their own pace.
