you are out. There is no such thing as life in

harder. Thank you for your dedication,

devoted to the perfection of character. Tae Kwon
Do is not a sport, hobby, or occasional
pastime---it is a way of life!
-Persistence- There was a time when the world
moved at a much slower pace. People went for
walks, made their own clothes, put together
jigsaw puzzles, made meals from scratch, and read
Shakespeare. In those days, it was more natural
for people to be persistent. People just assumed
that things would take time. Todays world,
however, moves at a much more rapid pace. Now,
with the Internet, with CNN and USA Today, with
microwave food and air travel, we have become a
people who demand immediate gratification. We
have lost some of our ability to be persistent.
Although the world has changed in many ways, its
still the same in one important way In spite of
todays frenetic pace, the world still gives up
its rewards slowly. That means you must have a
plan, or course of action and stick with it.
Success does a gut check in persistence. It
demands not only skill and talent. Success
requires that you use your skill and talent
applied to a specific course of action. Never
forget, you must pass through a waiting period
before the course opens up its rewards. Its the
way to the whole effort. Huge profits and
rewards await those who stick it out. Even
now, we still see some people earning college
degrees, becoming Eagle Scouts and earning Black
Belts while others accomplish very little.
They are good at starting things, but not so good
at seeing them through to completion. Heres how
accomplishment works
1. The excitement phase When you
begin, you get an initial rush of fun and
satisfaction. The prospect of beginning a new
activity is exciting. You feel motivated in this
early stage you make quick progress as you
master basic skills

2. The
persistence phase After a time, the initial
excitement wears off and satisfaction diminishes.
The activity is not new anymore, not quite so
easy, and not quite so much fun. You begin a long
climb with fewer observable results. With little
apparent progress, the result is boredom.
Boredom is the enemy of persistence. Most people
quit during this step. Contd Page 2

Master Lee, Persistence, contd 3. The reward
phase As you near completion, the excitement
returns. You experience a renewed sense of
commitment. You can finally see the finish line!
Big rewards await those who persist. Nothing
feels better than completing a difficult task!
The challenge lies in step 2, the Persistence
Phase. This is why persistence is so important
for our children. Never forget, they will not
experience any meaningful success unless they
become experts at handling Step 2!

People think talent is the key to achieving big
goals. Its not. Instead, its persistence.
Remember what Calvin Coolidge, President of the
United States, said Nothing in the world can
take the place of persistence. Talent will not
nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with
talent Genius will not unrewarded genius is
almost a proverb. Education will not the world
is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and
determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan
press on, has solved and always will solve the
problems of the human race. So again, nothing
takes the place of persistence. In any endeavor,
lots of talented people quit. Persistent people
hang around and succeed. So the quitters end up
thinking that the persistent must have more
talent! Life is all about living, loving,
laughing and learning!
Im going to bed now. Please dont sit up all
night looking at it.

Help! Everyone Lets work on courtesy! Please
wait quietly for your class to begin. You may
stretch and talk quietly. Please do not be
distracting while a class is going on for example
? No jumping rope ? No working out on the bags
? Children must wait in the reception area for
their class to begin ? For their safety, children
must be supervised. THANK YOU

Our Mission Our job is to make people more
successful. We recognize that each job in our
day-to-day operation contributes to the success
of others. We pledge ourselves to the pursuit of
excellence. By consistent example, we develop a
passion for the excellence in others. Where
others are content, we are hungry. Where others
are discouraged, we see opportunity. Where
others quit, we persist. Where others criticize,
we participate. Where others have chosen small
lives, our passion for love, happiness and
achievement is without limit.
