Purpose
The aim of this study is to evaluate the
influence of ErYAG laser on Calcitonin and
Alendronate diffusion through dentin
tubules. These medicaments are being tested as
filling material in order to treat external root
resorption that frequently occurs after dental
trauma.

Conclusion
According to the results obtained in this
study, the groups treated with EDTA-T and
Hypochlorite and irradiated by ErYAG laser
presented higher rates of Calcitonin and
Alendronate diffusion. When comparing diffusion
of both medicaments, Calcitonin presented higher
rates than Alendronate, in all groups analysed.
