Our Mission Statement
  • The mission of Mrs. Gurians Class is to learn
    math, reading, writing, science, and social
    studies. We really want to learn hard math and
    we want to explore and learn about the world. We
    will learn by listening, working together to
    learn, and really trying. We need to do this so
    will get a good education, be ready to go to
    college, and get a great job in the future and,
    of course, be ready for 3rd grade.

  • Conferences will be scheduled in the near future
  • (after our baseline testing is completed).
  • Please sign the paper telling me your best days
    and times for you to conference with me.
  • A confirmation note/phone call will be made prior

820-840 Unpack, prepare for the day,
WPNN 845-945 Writing 945-1050 Math
1050-1125 PE Mondays 155-240
Walking Day PE will be at the end of the day.
Students will be dismissed from the covered
court. 1132-1202 Lunch 1202-145 Reading
145-240 Content Area Social Studies,
Science, or Health Mondays Walking Day PE
will be at the end of the day. Students
will be dismissed from the covered
court. Computer Lab Thursday 200 Week 2 Art

Grading Policy
  • 100-90 E (Excellent)
  • 89-80 V (Very Good)
  • 79-70 S (Satisfactory)
  • 69-60 N (Needs Improvement)
  • 59-0 U (Unsatisfactory)

Please work with your child to help them correct
errors on papers. This will help them review and
master concepts rather than just skipping by them.

HomeworkAlthough homework may be different at
times, our normal nightly schedule will be
Monday Spelling Tuesday Math
Wednesday Reading (Test Thursday on story)
Thursday Study Spelling (Test
Friday) Students will be expected to read every
day for 30 minutes. When they are capable of
reading at a level 20, they will be
expected to earn at least 10
Reading Counts points each month Monthly Calendar
Activities will be expected.

Attendance
Attendance is very important! Students need to
be present and on time daily. Send a note
(separate from the agenda book) to excuse
absence.
