Why Replace a Board?
  • Damage to existing board
  • Manufacturing defect
  • Aesthetic changes

Tools to be Used

Layout the Areas to be Cut
  • With a marking pen layout the areas to be cut
  • approximately ½ from the side joints

Drill Holes at the Corners to Prevent Damage to
Adjoining Boards

Cutting the Areas Marked
  • Care must be taken not to cut into adjoining
    boards

Setting the Saw to cut the thickness of the board

Make a Cut Down the Center for Easy Removal

Carefully Remove the End Pieces

Release the Remaining ½ of the Edge Loose from
the Adhesive

Clean any Remaining the Adhesive to a Thin Residue

Mark the Replacement Board to Length

Cut the Board to Length

Remove the Bottom of the Groove on the Side and
End

Apply the Adhesive to the Back of the Material
with a Notched Spreader

Optional Place a Bead of Glue on the Top of the
Tongue

Insert the Tongue and Drop into Place

Clean and Fill as Necessary

Weight Overnight if Necessary
