Evaluation
  • We evaluated every short course initially with
the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS).
  • Over 80 participants showed a decrease in their
    EPDS scores after taking part.
  • A review of our evaluation process took place
during 2006 to capture the success of the project
    and review our approach.
  • An experienced arts evaluator, Annabel Jackson,
was engaged to run a session for all project
partners to find clarity in the aims, indicators
and outcomes and how to measure them. An article
about this process was published in NIMHE Nov 06
    edition.
  • A new evaluation scale for benefits felt has been
devised and is now being trialled.
  • We are working towards being able to track women
long-term and gauge the projects legacy through
    a University research partnership.

Progression Routes
  • nesa consistently provides progression strategies
for all its projects participants, across all
    areas of influence
  • nesa continues to provide support and advice
through their Arts Health Development Worker
and supports the formation and growth of
self-funded progression groups from nesas Arts
    Health projects

    arts projects, mainstream arts education
provision as well as being supported to set up
their own progression support groups such as

regular meetings for advice and signposts
opportunities and shares information via email.
  • Progression Groups from MTMS currently cover the
Norton Radstock and Keynsham areas. nesa is
supporting a group to start in the Bath area
  • nesa supports these groups by offering
opportunities to get involved in regional
cultural events Peoples Show 2006 at the
Victoria Art Gallery, Bath with Out of the Blue.
