Graffiti Misconceptions
  • A lot of people think that the paint is what
    hurts the environment, but that is not true.
  • Most people think that graffiti is found in
    alleys, but graffiti is found on trains, cars and
    walls.

Graffiti is Vandalism
  • Graffiti is the most common vandalism at 35
  • Vandalism destroys or defaces other peoples
    property.
  • Most people who do graffiti, graffiti on trains,
    cars and on walls.

Four Types of Graffiti
  • There are four types of graffiti Hip-Hop, Gang,
    Hate and Generic

Graffiti Styles
  • Hip-Hop is the most common type of graffiti at
    78. The second most common is Gang at 10, the
    third most common is Hate at 9. The graffiti
    that is not found very much is Generic at 5 -
    Billy likes Beans.

The People Behind the Problem
  • The most common age group for graffiti is 17-18
    with a range from 8-54 years old.
  • People graffiti for fame, rebellion,
    self-expression and power.

The High Cost of Graffiti
  • America Spends 8 Billion per year to clean up
    graffiti
  • In 2002 Los Angeles spent 55 million on graffiti
    removal

Evil Cleaners
  • Graffiti the paint is not the problem, the
    cleaners that are used to clean up the graffiti
    is.
  • The chemicals in the cleaners that are used to
    cleanup the graffiti mess are what hurts the
    environment.

Graffiti Solutions
  • If you take graffiti off a wall in 24 hours, it
    is most likely not to happen again.
  • The solution to the graffiti problem is to paint
    over the graffiti (if it happens.)

  • If there is a mural on a wall it is most likely
    not going to have graffiti on it because people
    respect mural art.
