• Two Types
• Academic-Year Scholarships
• Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships

• One regular academic year of full-time study at
  an educational institution in a foreign country

Academic-Year Scholarships

• What does the Rotary scholarship cover?
• Round-trip transportation
• One month of intensive language training
• Required fees for normal course load for one
  academic year
• Reasonable room and board
• Some educational supplies
• Maximum Amount of US24,000

• Three months or 6 months of intensive
• language training and cultural immersion

Rotary Ambassadorial ScholarshipsGeneral
Eligibility

• APPLICANT MUST
• Have completed at least two years of university
  or college course work
• Be citizens of a country in which there is a
  Rotary Club
• Apply through a Rotary club in the applicants
  legal or permanent residence or place of full
  time study or employment
• Be proficient in the language of the host country
• Must not be a Rotarian or directly related to a
  Rotarian

Requirements of Rotary Scholars

• During the study period
• Must be outstanding ambassadors of goodwill to
  their host country through
• Appearances before Rotary clubs and districts
• Schools
• Civic organizations
• Other local forums
• After study is completed
• Scholars are expected to share their experiences
  with
• Their home countries
• Rotarians who sponsored their scholarships
