Mark 165-6 (NIV)
  • As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man
dressed in a white robe sitting on the right
side, and they were alarmed. "Don't be alarmed,"
he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene,
who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here.

John 1938-39
  • Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of
Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but
secretly because he feared the Jews. With
Pilate's permission, he came and took the body
away. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man
who earlier had visited Jesus at night.

Hebrews 122-3 (MSG)
  • Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and
finished this race we're in. Study how he did it.
Because he never lost sight of where he was
headed that exhilarating finish in and with God
he could put up with anything along the way
cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in
the place of honor, right alongside God.

Mark 1546-47 (NIV)
  • Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the
body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a
tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone
against the entrance of the tomb. Mary Magdalene
and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was
    laid.

Romans 57-8 (MSG)
  • We can understand someone dying for a person
worth dying for, and we can understand how
someone good and noble could inspire us to
selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the
line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial
death while we were of no use whatever to him.

Luke 241-6
  • On the first day of the week, very early in the
morning, the women took the spices they had
prepared and went to the tomb. They found the
stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they
entered, they did not find the body of the Lord
    Jesus.

14
Luke 241-6 (NIV)
  • While they were wondering about this, suddenly
two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning
stood beside them the men said to them, "Why do
you look for the living among the dead? He is
    not here he has risen!"

15
Romans 510 (MSG)
  • If, when we were at our worst, we were put on
friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death
of his Son, now that we're at our best, just
think of how our lives will expand and deepen by
    means of his resurrection life!
