Scientific Method Terms

• Fact An observation that has been repeatedly
  confirmed and for all practical purposes is
  accepted as true.
• Hypothesis A tentative explanation for an
  observation, phenomenon, or scientific problem
  that can be tested by further investigation.
• Law A principle deduced from facts, applicable
  to defined phenomena, and expressible by a
  statement that a particular phenomenon always
  occurs under given conditions.
