  • On behalf of the CST, I would like to thank the
members of the e-health industry team for their
summary report of the CST industry breakfast. It
is an extremely comprehensive report in that it
provides an excellent overview of the process,
    presentations and results, along with
considerations for future industry breakfasts. It
will certainly aid the CST as we continue to
identify opportunities to engage our industry
    partners.
  • We would like to post the report on the CST
website as a resource to our members.
  • Please pass on our thanks to all e-health
industry members that were involved in both the
writing of this report and the planning of the
    breakfast.

I'm actually in Finland right now, after an
absolutely fabulous 2-day visit to Oulu ---- with
MAJOR positive connections with the Oulu WILHO
consortium, and concrete plans in place for
initial collaboration. I'm so happy to have come
up for this visit, and thank you for all you've
done to make these connections for us. Dr.

  • The CST conference and e-Health Industry
breakfast were very fruitful events for us. We
had the chance to meet with many telehealth
experts from different parts of Canada. Thanks
for organizing such a successful conference and
for the opportunity to share our experiences.

  • I had the good fortune to train in your facility
with a group that was learning EMIS, the new
software being rolled out to the outpatient
clinics. The training room was outstanding. The
large screens which could be hooked up to the
instructor's laptop were excellent. There was no
worry of standing in the way of the projection
and always very easy to view. The computer
stations were ergonomically correct which helped
as we were doing intensive training for eight
hours per day. The staff was very helpful when we
had questions. The Telehealth office, itself, was
bright, clean and quiet. It was very conducive to
learning. I hope to have the opportunity to teach
    in your facility, myself.

Thanks to all and especially to you Penny. I
did not expect this to be such a success I have
nothing to add to this brilliant report. I'm
willing to repeat the experience next fall or
spring. Very interesting. Thank you for your
good work. This confirms it was a valuable
task. Robert E. Turcotte, MD, FRCSC Orthopaedic
Oncology McGill University Health
Centre Associate Professor and Chairman Division
of Orthopedic Surgery Regarding the report from
the Bone Joint Virtual Round Table February
2006
  • After completing EMIS training at the Telehealth
facility over the past two weeks, I would like to
comment on what a fantastic facility this is! The
environment was perfect for training - we had
everything we required and were able to
concentrate on our training without interruption.
It was an ideal setting. I hope we will be able
to use this facility again in the future and I
will certainly recommend it to other people.

Testimonials
"We wish to thank you and your team for the
excellent work in bringing together the
evaluation of EMR vendors. The DOM Task Force
certainly appreciates the effort that everyone
made to complete the evaluation in a timely and
professional manner. The clinical suite provided
a very realistic background upon which to assess
the clinical scenarios, and the board room with
its video conference function gave us the extra
capability to include other sites. Of course,
your selection of evaluators was very appropriate
and brought strength and depth to the whole
process. The Department of Medicine will likely
want to discuss other applications of the
e-Health collaboratory in the near
future." Department of Medicine, Faculty of
Medicine January 2006
  • Dynastream Innovations Inc. is pleased to offer
its support to the new e-Health Industry Project.
Our relationship with Dr. Penny Jennett has
opened many doors in the medical community
worldwide, and we anticipate that a continued
relationship will offer more opportunities for
    business collaborations."

The Event was very worthwhile for Optimed
Software. I enjoyed the day and your plan to
connect e-Health vendors worked!!!! I had
expected that the event would provide us with
general exposure that may one day have a
trickle-down effect. Instead, I came away with
three prospects for our EMR solution, which was
complete bonus and a pleasant surprise. Optimed
