The First Computer

• The first computer was the Abacus.
• Developed in 500 bc
• Series of balls on a dowel that when moved in a
  certain way could do large calculations very
  quickly.

• The first adding calculators were developed
• Started with little capabilities such as only
  addition.
• The binary code was being studied.

• First mass produced sellable calculator was made.
• The first typewritter was developed.

• The first computer to use binary system
• ENIAC, Electronic Numeric Integrator and Computer
• So big it filled a wall
• First bug problem was a moth.

• The general public first become aware of the
  computer. This is what brings about the demand
  for personal computer.

• The first mass produced mini computer was
  developed.
• Its cost was 20,000.
• Was only mini compared to ENIAC

• The first video game was developed- Pong.

• Affordable at 700.
• The first cell phone was also developed.

• Today computers capabilities are growing very
  rapidly.
• Today computers are the size of hand held
  calculators, and can do a number incredible tasks.
