If reflection seismic data could be acquired to
mimic the velocity log, then the frequency
content would have to include both low and high
frequencies.

A post-stack inversion of the seismic trace
matches the well log for the 8-80 Hz frequencies
of the seismic data but lacks the broader
bandwidth to make a better match.

From the acoustic impedance log of the well, one
can derive raw and filtered reflectivity series,
which, when convolved with the seismic wavelet,
makes the seismic reflection trace.
