• GATHER ye rosebuds while ye may,     Old time
  is still a-flying And this same flower that
  smiles to-day     To-morrow will be dying.

• The higher hes a-getting,
• The sooner will his race be run,

• Youth like the sun comes and goes quickly
• Take advantage of your present youth

• When youth and blood are warmer
• But being spent, the worse, and worst
• Times still succeed the former. (9-12)
• Youth is best because we are energetic
• Aging is bad but will come regardless
