    is still a-flying And this same flower that
    smiles to-day     To-morrow will be dying.

  • The days are short
  • Opportunities missed may be lost forever

  • The higher hes a-getting,
  • The sooner will his race be run,

  • Take advantage of your present youth

  • When youth and blood are warmer
  • But being spent, the worse, and worst

  • Aging is bad but will come regardless
