MEETING FOR EURO-MEDITERRANEAN WATER PROGRAM IN
BRUSSELS (15-17/6)
  • Purpose
  • To allow all project members and the EC support
Team to meet with each other.
  • To allow all project members to meet with each

their field or in their geographic area.

    between Partners on a Thematic and/or a
    Geographic basis.

3
MEETING FOR EURO-MEDITERRANEAN WATER PROGRAM IN
BRUSSELS (15-17/6)
  • To allow all Partners to meet with the EC support
staff individually during the duration of the
    Meetings for Project Follow-up sessions.
  • To allow EC representatives to present to all
    Partners simultaneously support sessions on
Project issues such as- Reporting- Water
    Facilitators in MEDA Country Institutions-
SEMIDE/EMWIS information system of the MEDA
    Programme- Contracts and Financial Matters

4

    MEDA consortia attended the meetings.

6
PROGRESS OF MEDA PROJECTS
  • The presentations of the 9 consortia can be found
    at
  • http//www.emwis.org/MEDA/meetings.htm
  • There are common activities foreseen in the 9
    MEDA-programmes (e.g. MEDAWARE and EMWATER
include several overlapping tasks). As a result,
it would be useful for all of us to be aware of
the content and results of each project by
visiting the respective web page. Especially,
each partner should be familiar with the partners
of the same country that participate in the MEDA
    programmes.

7
NEWS FROM EC
  • EC shall soon appoint a small centralized
    organization called RMSU (Regional Monitoring
Support Unit) in order to be in contact with the
9 MEDA consortia and evaluate the project
progress (probably at the end of this year).
  • In order to result in the better dissemination of
the MEDA-programmes results, it was suggested
that different consortia should collaborate in
the organization of conferences. That is the
reason that our conference in Morocco was
    temporarily postponed.
  • Acknowledgement should be made to the EC in all
deliverables and publications of MEDA projects.
