2THE STUDY
- The present paper is based on the use of marble
slurry available at the Abu Road town of Sirohi
District in Rajasthan in Cement process. - Sirohi district generates about 9000 tonnes
slurry per annum i.e. about 2 of total
generation in Rajasthan. - The findings of the study may differ from place
to place depending up-on the characteristics of
the marble deposits available in the region.

- CEMENT PLANT REQUIRES 1.4-1.6 MT LIMESTONE FOR
PRODUCTION OF ONE TON OF CLINKER - THE PRESENT PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF CEMENT PLANTS
SITUATED IN RAJASTHAN IS ABOUT 18.5 MTPA i.e.
APPROX. 27.5 MTPA LIMESTONE IS CONSUMED PER
ANNUM.
6GENERATION OF MARBLE SLURRY
- AS PER AN ESTIMATE ABOUT 2.5 MTPA MARBLE STONE
IS PROCESSED IN RAJASTHAN. - MARBLE SLURRY IS GENERATED _at_ 150-200 KG/TON OF
STONE PROCESSED. - THE TOTAL GENERATION OF MARBLE SLURRY WORKS OUT
TO BE ABOUT 0.5 0.6 MTPA i.e. 2 OF LIMESTONE
REQUIRED BY THE CEMENT PLANTS IN RAJASTHAN.

BEFORE SHIFTING TO THE CENTRAL YARD. IN CASE OF
HIGH MOISTURE THE SLURRY CAN BE SUN DRIED IN THE
YARD BEFORE DELIVERY TO THE USER UNITS. - FREE TRANSPORTATION FROM WASTE GENERATING UNITS
TO THE USER PLANTS

- THE MARBLE SLURRY GENERATED FROM THE MARBLE UNITS
CAN BE USED IN A CEMENT PLANT IN MEANINGFUL
PURPOSE IF THE GENERATOR UNITS FUL FILL THE
REQUIRED QUALITY CRITERION MENTIONED PARTICULARLY
MOISTURE CONTENT AND PROVIDED AT THE USER FACTORY
PREMISES.
