Purpose

• To foster relationships between the UNCA
  Multimedia Arts and Sciences program, the A-B
  Tech Digital Media Technology program, and local
  graphics and digital media companies.
• Pam Silvers and Susan Reiser serve as project
  leaders.

Labs

• Develop Digital Media Resource Laboratories on
  the A-B Tech and UNCA campuses.
• Planned deployment in 2005 for both A-B Tech and
  UNCA.

Web Presence

• Develop a Digital Media Web site where students
  can showcase their work.
• Establish links between departmental pages.
• Provide a repository of student work.

Instructor Training

• Develop a series of workshops to introduce
  instructors to emerging digital media
  technologies and standards.
• Workshops offered each semester.
• Fall 2004 14 participants.
• Feb 2005 15 participants.
• March 2005 15 participants.
• April 2005 (scheduled).

Communication and Cooperation

• Promote greater cooperation and communications
  between the two campuses, including possible
  course transfer agreements.
• Regular meetings.
• Attend each others classes.
• A meeting between both departments has been
  scheduled on April 27th to discuss transfer
  credit and other issues.
