EOS DIRECT BROADCAST DATA

• SPoRT relies on EOS direct broadcast (DB) ground
  stations for access to real-time MODIS, AIRS, and
  AMSR-E imagery
• Univ. of Wisconsin and Univ. of S. Florida sites
• latency to SPoRT is lt 30min from overpass time
• some EOS products produced at DB site

FUTURE PLANS

• Provide relevant SPoRT data to regional offices
  for dissemination to WFOs
• Continue work with other agencies on transition
  of data to WFOs and forecast Centers
• Work with AWIPS II team to facilitate the
  dissemination of NPP/NPOESS data to WFOs
