Representation of Admission Profile

• Inspite of the fall in total admissions due to
  the bifurcation of Punjab from Karnal region in
  2002, there has been a steady progress in
  admissions.
• Increasing trend from 8597 in 2002 to 11124 in
  2005 to 11179 in 2006
• Maximum increase is in BDP
• Masters degree programmes are also gaining ground
• Fall in admissions for computer prgrammes

• The number of Regular SCs increased from 10 in
  2002 to to 14 in 2006

• The number of PSCs increased from 2 in 2001 to 6
  in 2003 to 7 in 2005 and to 10 in 2006.

• Teleconferencing Through One way Video and two
  way Audio More than 50 sessions held this year
  at the RC
• EDUSAT Used in conjunction with
  teleconferencing. Wide interaction noticed
• IRC Held weekly at AIR Rohtak on academic and
  administrative issues
• Audio Video Facilities Both at the study
  Centres and the the Regional Centre
• Gyan Darshan Schedule provided in advance to
  the students for attending the same euither at
  the RC or the SC

• The fee receipts of the regional centre has seen
  an increasing trend.
• Increased from Rs. In Rs.199863081 in 2001-02 to
  Rs.255171718 in 2005-06 an increase of 28.
• Non-Plan Expenditure of the regional centre was
  Rs.9478605 in 2001-02 which decreased to
  Rs.9767503 in 2003-04 and further to Rs.9330377
  in 2005-06.

• Successfully activated most of the IGNOU
  Programmes in our region.

• Special Mention ANM, AFW,PGDRP, SOA Programmes,
  MA Programmes, PGDMCH etc.

Highlights and Achievements of the RC (3)

• Practical sessions of all major programmes were
  conducted with in the stipulated time and by
  using the good offices of IGNOU RC staff.
• Special mention can be made of PGDRP practicals
  at AIR Rohtak and for BTCMBTWRE at NIT
  Kurukshetra for Karnal and other regions like
  Delhi, Kolkatta, Lucknow etc.

• Successfully organized the Hindi Week
  celebrations at RC Karnal
• Two of our officers, Sh.M.Rajesh, ARD and
  Sh.M.L.Sharma ARD won top honours at the Hindi
  competitions held by NARACAS for Karnal district
  at DWR.

  year 2006, with the Director, NDRI as the chief
  guest.

Pending Issues for Consideration at the HQ

• Allotment of land and sanction for construction
  of own regional centre building
• Sanction for the purchase of UPS battery
• Sanction to shift the B.Ed PSC from Hisar to
  Fatehabad and closure of the latter
• Repair and installation of DRS systems at the
  study centre
• Provision of office equipments and more
  importantly computer accessories to new and old
  study centres where the same has not been
  provided.
