    recruiting teachers
  • Focus groups during national FFA convention with
    students preparing to become agriculture teachers

    Louis to discuss strategies

    grassroots system for identifying and prioritize
    advocacy initiatives and establish a national
    advocacy agenda
  • Communication Strategies to effectively
    communicate key messages and ensure adequate
    information to conduct advocacy efforts

  • Focus is to position Ag Ed as a leading force in
    delivering needs-based education and to help the
    profession speak with one voice to segmented
    audiences through appropriate channels
  • Request for proposal has been developed
  • First phase is brand assessment research and a
    brand management evaluation
  • Estimated cost of the beginning phase of the
    branding initiative is 400,000. Productive
    discussions with potential sponsors are underway

  • Pull states together in regional training
    sessions to discuss what works and how to develop
    a plans

Closing Thoughts
  • Real progress will require
  • Millions, not tens of thousands
  • Telling the story numerous times with numerous
    audiences
  • Funding requires consistent, long-term commitment
  • 10x15 will allow Ag Ed to remain vital to the
    agricultural industry and this country for
    generations to come
  • The work is not easybut it is essential

  • Recognition and thanks are due to all who have
    contributed time, skill, talent and sweat to move
    10x15 and Agricultural Education forward.
