Introduction
  • The recent deaths of Cpl Dinning and Cpl Payne in
    in Afghanistan got
  • many Military Police members thinking about our
    proud history as a
  • police service.
  • We currently have three of our members on the
    Ottawa
  • Police Memorial Wall in Ottawa but we dont have
    a memorial wall that
  • we can call our own to honour our colleagues,
    who have
  • paid the ultimate price.

Proposal
  • Research has been conducted by Sergeants Paul
    Sutton and Ken
  • Urquhart to determine what other police services
    across Canada had
  • for memorials. Paul and Kens research revealed
    that Canadian Police
  • Services utilized either a metal plaque on a
    metal frame or a marble
  • slab mounted to a stonewall.
  • The proposed Military Police memorial wall would
    be constructed of
  • marble, and each fallen members stone would
    measure 8 x 4 x 3/4
  • and have a ceramic photo of the member or the
    actual or replica of the
  • members police badge.

How you can Help Us
  • 1 Military Police Platoon Association (1 MP Pl
    Assoc) is a group of
  • retired Military Police members who most recently
    raised 10,000 for
  • the children of Cpl Randy Payne this money will
    be used to fund the
  • education of Randys children. The 10,000 raised
    was from the sale of
  • the Military Police Support the Troops pins.
  • Recently 1 MP PL Assoc was asked if they could
    raise monies for the
  • memorial wall project. This association is
    committed to raising 20,000
  • so the project for the wall can be completed.
    All interested persons may
  • donate to this project by contacting.
  • Thank you for supporting Canadas Combat Cops!!
