  • Goal
  • To facilitate the safe removal of a downed
    firefighter from a hostile environment
  • Objective
  • To quickly and efficiently supply the downed
    firefighter with a supplemental air supply of
    sufficient capacity to ensure an uninterrupted
    supply during removal

  • Concepts of Operation
  • Immediately upon locating the downed firefighter,
    his air supply must be evaluated
  • Additional air is supplied through the use of the
    F.A.S.T. Rescue Pack
  • Care must be taken during the removal of the
    downed firefighter to ensure mask integrity
  • TEAMWORK is essential for a successful removal

  • Carry bag with carabiner on end loop
  • 60 minute air cylinder 4500 psi
  • Air Supply Manifold is passed from main
    compartment into side compartment
  • AV-2000 mask in end compartment
  • Chemical Light Sticks in end compartment
    (opposite mask)

  • This gives access to the
  • Cylinder valve
  • Air Supply Manifold left side
  • Mask end compartment (near end)
