1. Tri-Ex produce 1st draft based on Working
Together and current procedures from 4 LSCBs.
3. 4 LSCB Safeguarding Managers integrate
Procedures based on consensus, compromise
agreement on best practice.
4. Agreed 2nd draft passed back to Tri-Ex.

Amendment Process
  • Pass on any comments to Agency rep on Policy
    Procedure Sub Group (see Website for details) or
    CSCB member if agency not represented on
    sub-group.
  • Policy Procedure Sub-Group will consider
    amendments and make recommendations to SIG or
    CSCB depending on magnitude of change.
  • SIG/CSCB will give approval in principle to
    amendment if appropriate, along with some degree
    of flexibility regarding final wording, to be
    negotiated within West Yorkshire Safeguarding
    Consortium.
  • Amendment approved by four LSCBs/WYS
    Consortium.
  • Amendment incorporated into Safeguarding
    Procedures at quarterly meeting of WYS Consortium
    and Tri-Ex
  • New version of Safeguarding Procedures.

  • Many Procedures (especially Core Procedures) stay

  • Introduction The new procedures reflect a
    successful partnership between the 4 LSCBs. They
    reflect Working Together 2006
